SurfAid is a charity that helps poverty stricken communities on the coast of Indonesia. By partnering with Spotify to create Surfify, an album filled with sounds of the surf. Every time a track was streamed from the album, Spotify paid a small royalty fee to Surf Aid.
We encouraged Spotify's 60 million active users to play our Surfify album on repeat, so that they could help raise money for our cause, even while they slept.
The album has already been streamed tens of thousands of times as well as being supported by musicians like Jack Johnson and famous surfers such as Mark Occhilupo and Laird Hamilton. Surfify has created a revolutionary new way to donate that doesn't cost you a cent.
